The Ansbach Theater is one of the youngest municipal theaters in Germany. It belongs to a cultural cooperative that has existed in Ansbach for over 100 years and presents not only plays but also concerts. With the transformation from a guest performance operation into an independent theater with a permanent ensemble and repertoire schedule in 2007, the Ansbach Theatre has meanwhile firmly established itself as an important cultural institution for the entire region.
About ten new productions are realized each season - including classics, world premieres, children's and youth plays and the Christmas fairy tale. The theater also hosts the Ansbach puppet shows. In addition to two pure theater space rentals and a concert space rental, the Ansbach Theater offers numerous other subscriptions, also at particularly favorable conditions for pupils and students.
